Torture

Hey guys, this painting/drawing is a story about a sol being tortured. Every couple hrs a bell rings and this guy is streched by massive chains. Let me know what u think. Really want to know if you guys have trouble figuring out just what it is I have painted. Double click the second image it will enlarge. I'm thinking this painting has a ways to go, just not sure what to do with it.

This post has been inspired by once again you guessed it our concept artists. They do such awesome work. So I like how I handled the chest and my favorite part is his beard. It's like this bent piece of sheet metal. I'm starting to understand I have to model the paint. The whole bend form with light thing. One other thing I am really trying to stick to is the big to small thing. When I do that I am much happier.

So in June or July a new transformers game comes out. I am pumped so I did this design from the zsketch post a few down, (that red guy with the wierd tubes.) This is a test paint over and will be posting more of this guy later on. His back view is cool.

Story drawing

Hello, found a home for the post below. Going to be a mining vehicle used to run power cords into the mining shafts, which will reach deep into the earth. Have to thank Ted for that one. This drawing is of Riggs in a transit staion, swiping an access card. He's getting a token so he can go home. There should be more people!!! I have also come up with a sentence in which i can describe what I want the viewer to take away from the story. I think this is important because now i can start filling in the piecses with better focus.

don't know what this is, going to see if a good friend at work wants it to be something for one of his ideas. I'm feeling good about how I am starting to control value a bit. Work lately has been more about knowing how to answer things than anything else. Pretty exciting time.

Ship Design

I count on Jess heavily to help me find errors in my drawings. (and spelling...lol) So as usual I asked her what she thinks of this one and she says, "I don't know what you want me to say there is nothing wrong." I don't feel that way but It made me have a huge smile. Very Very excited about this drawing.

Riggs Gun

yo yo everyone. Here is a failed design at work but I loved it so much I had to find a place for it. Riggs has a weapon now!!!! It's more than a weapon, it's a tool for him to use on his journey.

zsketch

this post is cool for me cause i can show u guys a new process I have embraced. So zbrush has a new feature and it basically allows me to just lay in these long tubes made of balls. I can move them, scale them, and draw them on the surface in many unique ways. After like a minute the sketch takes on a life of its own. Just a seriously awesome thing. This guy is a robot in the Healer. I love the guys who come up with this shit. Pixologic thank you...LOL
