So I found a job post online last night and did this little mock up page to send to the contractor. Job consists of drawing fashion designs for a book and I'm really hoping I get a call back on this one.
Hey everyone, so for the longest time now I have been meaning to go back into this character and clean up the normals and actually give the diffuse map a little much needed love. I got a little motivation when asked to be featured on the website http://nvisioncg.com. I can't express enough how thankful I am to Del, the editor of the site. As for the model, I'm still sorting out the spec map and I'm going to look deeply into creating fabrics better. So make sure to check out the link and feel free to send your own work for submission.
Hey everyone I'm posting to share the results of an art test I have taken for a studio down south. The challenge was to create a 1,200 poly zombie character and texture it using a 512X512. I must say for an test I had a great deal of fun and for reference used the mailman from Seinfeld. Newman!!!!!! Anyhow I was really pumped about the 2 head drawings in upper left hand corner of the concept page and excited about the personality in the final model.
It's Emily's birthday today!!!!!!!!! I wanted to just thank everyone for all the support and love we have gotten these past few months. Friends and family I thank you for everything, we love you guys.
Hey everyone, been working on a few projects as of late and I wanted to post some images. The first 2 are sculpts in Zbrush which started with the amazing Zsketch and Zsphere features. The third piece is a painting I have been working on. My goal in this painting is to not draw the forms but to paint it using shape, value, color.
This was an idea for something at my last job that never made it. A demon catapult that throws massive mine balls that explode over the enemy to rain down magic bone fragments like a cluster bomb. I found it buried in a folder so I decided to keet going on it. I thought it would make for a great toy.
First off it is so frigin good to be home with the family together. Emily is doing fantastic and we go for our follow up in early Feb. Watching are little girl fight to get better for 2 months straight has made me a different man. She is only 11 months old but has already taught me so much. If my wife wasn't such a big help during all of this I really don't know how I would have made it through. I love you babe.
These sketches were done during the late nights awake at the hospital. I worked on technical drawing, penmanship and one point perspective a lot during this time and had many drawings to edit through. These are the ones I enjoyed. My wife actually picked most of them. Happy to be home and blogging again!!!!!!!!!!!!
