painting done on lunch break, around 20-30 minutes. Had a professor in college named Pro Brown and he used to say to me bend the form with light!!!!!! I can't get that out of my head. I really need to go back and visit with those guys.

Painting_practice

The other day my father said to me he thought my work was very dark. So I painted a Hitler.

This painting is actually full body but found myself just focusing on a small area to practice in. I think thats bad.

Seriously just trying to lay value down to bend form, and figure out how to break bad habbits and learn new techniques. Wow lot of work ahead.

So I have been hitting up a figure drawing class ever other Sunday with Aisleen. I am so happy we found this place. Figure drawing is very special to me because my roots are buried deep in it. Going to say it again, I am so glad to be back in it!!!!!!

At the end of this session an older gentleman proclaimed it to be the most challenging thing to do in all of the arts.

Been a while since I have posted some stuff. This is the indian from a few posts back. I have reworked both sculpts. I have also attached a head I have been working on at lunch breaks. I am starting to feel more comfortable in terms of carving out shape. Feel absolutely free to crit this stuff they are all WIP.........as always...lol
