Past couple days of sketching. Many artist talk about there comfort zones, things they think they are good at. I consider fantasy to be outside my comfort zone. I have been inspired as of late by Paul Richards, a concept artist in the game industry.

So I have been using ink lately to just get in there and sketch. I definetly feel something happening. My goal now is to keep pushing along and challenging myself to be truethful, clear and think about what I'm doing on a deeper level. I am very excited about these little doodles.

environment_value_sketches

Lots going on lately and plenty to be excited about. The baby will soon be here!!!!!!!!!!! I have been on a mission as of late and things just got more interesting. I had what I am considering a really great weekend of sketching. In this post I am attaching some environment value sketches. All I am trying to do with these is plan out a graphic composition and asign value to each shape. I am thinking that the black to white value range is what I will be studying for a while. I am also planning on posting some of the sketches I did as well this week.

villain concepts

hey, some designs of the main villain in the Healer. In this story the villain Lord Tartan practices some very dark religion and wears symbolic helmets when participating. God I hate that name, but its all I got so far.....lol. Any suggestions?
