So this morning I looked at the last post I entered and I was pretty unhappy. It just wasn't what I thought it should look like so I repainted it today. Used some good old Star Wars reference. God those guys were awesome model builders. I still have to finish the model's legs and it has tons of holes to be filled. Any how I really like the shiney gun barrels covered in blast dirt.

portrait painting
When I started this painting I was scared and unsure. I found myself creeping slowly around in my mark making. I HATE THAT MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD. I started over in pure anger. I forced myself to have purpose and even felt some delicate desicions creeping in towards the end. I also had session number 2 with the pirate painting and am pretty happy. Its changing.

Having fun
hello everyone, today I preached a little about celebrating achievements along the way. I can't stress how important it is as artists to do that. These 3 pages were picked out of a bunch. A little sketchbook art contest to celebrate seeing and understanding form a little better.
I think I'm going to pick a winner and paint it. Let me know which one u like the most.................or I could just say here's some more half finished shit........lol

Frazetta Tribute
Frank Frezetta died yesterday and I wanted to post a little tribute. I like so many others love Frazettas work. If I had to descibe a Frazetta painting in one word I would say masterful. He had an insane ability to depict light and shade. The other thing about his work is it always looks as if he is having fun. That's a strange thing to say I guess but his stuff was so cool how could he not be. I'm also attaching my favorite Frazetta painting.
